	Wireless Cine Box High Definition HDD! The cinebox… First multimedia hard disk effectively working, network enabled, and working with High Definition television CIBOX is offering many computer peripherals, including multimedia hard disks. And the CINEBOX is the fist one that can really work in a Lan environment and with a High Definition television. The design is not that sophisticated, its shapes rather round and its control buttons located on the front panel don’t really ease the placement. But there stops its weaknesses. The handling is extremely simple. The end user can connect the case with a Lan cable or a Wifi connexion. The user interface is a little austere but it is efficient. .. The ergonomic is perfectly conceived, as well as the remote control one. The real true benefit lays on the hard disk : Indeed before every file playing, the hard disk load par of the file in the cache memory. Consequently even a high definition video can transit through the Wifi network. We haven’t noticed any single cut during the video. There is even a 5.1 output for evolving amplifiers. There is only the HDMI connector that misses, but the end user can enjoy the 1080p through the DVI output. 	Multimedia External Hard Drive Cibox Cinebox Your DVD in box Practical, this multimedia hard disk drive thought by Cibox. Connected directly to a television, it reads DivX files, MP3 and pictures stored in its 300GB Hard disk, also allowing it to be used as a normal external storage device. In this mode, it will simply need to be connected to a USB 2.0 host of any computer or laptop and literally “swallows” any type of file almost at an average of 19Mb/s, according to our tests, reading speed attaining 25 Mb/s. Inspired by the very famous Korean DviCo Tvix cases, the Cibox takes the most interesting characteristic, a total support of complete DVD copies realized with a ripping software such as SmartRipper or DVD Fab Decrypter. Thanks to this feature, no need to manipulate your fragile DVD’s: copy them directly in the hard disk, then launch the file from the Cibox interface, via a comfortable and intuitive remote control. Main menu of the movie, direct access to the chapters, audio files, bonus, everything is in there, just as if you had inserted the DVD inside a DVD player. Of course, the Cibox recognizes Internet most video formats, plus some songs in MP3, WMA, or Ogg Vorbis as well as images like Jpeg, BMP and Gif. Our testing sample however refused our WAV files and AAC audio files, a problem that should be solved with a little update. Let’s hope that Cibox will profit to improve its interface, which is a little ugly unfortunately just like DviCo’s. The price, fortunately, stays affordable. 	External Hard Disk Neron Premium 300Gb from CIBOX This economical external HDD has a great Neron Premium Disque dur externe 300 Go de Cibox Ce CIBOX "économique" n’en affiche pas moins une excellente finish… 55 cents the Gb ! 55 cents of euro, it is the reasonnable price of the Gb of storage of the external hard disk. With its 300Gb it can contain 60 000 MP3 files or 425 DivX movies! This « economical » hard disk has in fact a great finish, with a whole metal body, fanless (so very silent) and a nice chromium-plated footstand to hold it vertically. It this price you could not expect a luxury et un joli socle chromé pour l'installation du disque à la verticale. A ce prix là, il ne fallait certes pas s'attendre à une connectics. The Cibox only connect in USB 2.0 and has lower performances that an equivalent model in Firewire. But it does not perform badly with its.21 Mo/s in reading and in writing. When the HDD is used in simultaneously for writing and reading (for example for a file copy the Neron Premium reaches a maximum of roughly 10,3 Mo per second. The product does not have one touch data backup, it is delivered with a Cyberlink software (PowerBakckup) which ease the archive function. It is CIBOX’s successful challenge with this S19A (C1901) model that is equipped with two connectors, VGA and DVI, and two small speakers. The resolution is in 1280 x 1024 pixels, without too much remanence effect, and with an excellent fidelity in the colours delivered by this model.
